The Finance Committee is charged with ensuring that the Parish Council manages its financial commitments, policies and obligations in a timely and correct manner and complies with all statutory regulations.
Areas covered include annual budgets & reconciliations, financial risk assessment, financial regulations, annual audits and financial statements.
The Finance Committee is currently chaired by Cllr Thomas Briggs, and includes Councillors, Antony Taylor, John Thompson, Mark Wilson and Michael Tinker (from July 2025)
The Clerk/RFO has overall responsibility for ensuring the Parish Council’s financial obligations are met.

Finance Committee Terms of Reference
There is no legal requirement for authorities between £25,000 and £200,000 turnover to follow / publish a transparency code, however the government recommends authorities between those parameters should follow the Code for authorities over £200,000 as far as possible. See below.
