Limpsfield Parish Council: November Update

As we head towards the festive season, there’s lots going on with Limpsfield Parish Council!

Our village blooms are still looking lovely, and the newly painted railings at the Limpsfield traffic lights have smartened up this important connection with Wolf’s Row. We’re looking forward to seeing all the beautiful Remembrance poppies at St Peter’s Church and hope to see you at the Remembrance Sunday service on 9 November with Limpsfield Royal British Legion and the Oxted Band.

We’re thrilled to report that the replacement of the stolen village horse trough is now complete. Our thanks go to Jason Barrett and the team at Natural Cut Stone, Nottingham, for creating a beautiful and faithful replica or the original (but with enhanced security features!), and to all residents who donated towards the project – as well as the Drinking Fountain & Horse Trough Association for their generous contribution.

Over the coming months, we’ll also be reviewing our existing parish assets – including bins, bus shelters, benches, noticeboards, fencing, and the village green at Stanhopes – to plan any necessary repairs or refurbishments for the year ahead. If you spot anything in need of attention, please let us know. The Chart playground is due for maintenance, and please pay a visit to our Chart Orchard over the autumn.

We are also very happy to have awarded Limpsfield CofE Infants School a small biodiversity grant for their SENsory garden project.

Behind the scenes, we’re preparing for the next stage in the Local Government Reorganisation. More details can be found on the Tandridge District Council and Surrey County Council websites.

Finally, a reminder, if you notice issues such as fly-tipping, damaged pavements, overgrown vegetation or signage problems, please report them via www.fixmystreet.com.
